From picking up and delivering food, boxing and delivering Food 4 Kids boxes, packing and distributing bags of food at our monthly community marketplace, or providing a strong support system in our office. Food Rescue Heroes

Our route volunteers are the heartbeat of our food rescue network. Utilizing our Food Finders app you’ll rescue surplus food from grocery stores, schools, or events and deliver it directly to a local nonprofit. We offer flexible scheduling, short routes, and a big impact. This is perfect for individuals or families.

Food 4 Kids

This program ensures children, and their families have access to the food they need on weekends. Each month we distribute 1,600 weekend meal boxes to 47 schools in Long Beach. Volunteers play a vital role in packing and delivering these nutritious food boxes, helping to ensure students have access to food when school is not in session. Your time and effort directly contribute to reducing childhood hunger in our local community.

Food HUB

A refrigerated shipping container located at Admiral Kidd park serves a community with limited access to supermarkets that offer affordable and healthy food options. Volunteers are needed to assist with setup, sorting, and distributing food with dignity and care on Wednesdays and the 4th Saturday of each month. Great for groups, families, and anyone who loves hands-on service.

Backyard Harvest

Volunteers work in collaboration with our Happy Harvest team picking fresh fruits and vegetables from residential properties, ensuring that surplus backyard bounty doesn’t go to waste. It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors, connect with neighbors, and contribute to healthier meals for families in need.
