Food Finders

Programs

Our programs are designed to provide immediate relief to the hunger crisis and foster a sense of community through volunteer engagement and educational initiatives, empowering individuals with knowledge about nutrition and healthy eating habits. By addressing both social and environmental challenges, Food Finders strives to create a healthier, more sustainable future for all, ensuring that no one goes hungry while protecting the planet for generations to come.

Hunger Relief Solutions

Our work goes beyond just providing meals; it’s about feeding hope, keeping families connected, and building a better future.

Food Rescue

Our year-round Food Rescue program connects donors with surplus food to our network agencies, providing meals and pantry distributions to low-income and food-insecure individuals and households

Food 4 Kids

Our Food 4 Kids program supports 47 schools in the Long Beach Unified School District, providing over 1,700 weekend meal boxes monthly to families facing food insecurity

Food HUB

Our Food HUB at Admiral Kidd Park in Long Beach offers weekly perishable food access to agency partners. The Community Marketplace, held on the 4th Saturday each month, is our only direct distribution event for local residents

Backyard Harvest

Backyard Harvest is a food rescue program that aids in gleaning fresh and surplus produce from local communities to eliminate food insecurity and food waste.

Food Finders is a nonprofit 501c3 food rescue organization with a mission to rescue food, reduce hunger, and improve nutrition in the communities we serve.

This project is funded in part by L.A. Care Health Plan and will benefit low-income and uninsured residents of Los Angeles County.
