Food Finders

Food Hub & Community Marketplace

Our refrigerated Food HUB, situated in Admiral Kidd Park in Long Beach, is dedicated to improving access to fresh, nutritious food and essential supplies. This location was carefully chosen because it lies within a food desert—an area where residents have limited access to supermarkets and large grocery stores that offer affordable and healthy options. Food deserts are commonly found in low-income communities, making reliable food access a challenge.

To address this need, we host an agency pop-up distribution every Wednesday, supporting organizations that lack the capacity to store perishable foods for their own distributions. Additionally, on the fourth Saturday of each month, we organize a Community Marketplace, where families in need receive fresh produce, protein such as chicken, and staple groceries like rice.
