In October, November, and December, Food Finders need volunteers to help us pack and sort Food 4 Kids Bags and Holiday Food boxes.
WHO: This is a signup form for individuals, companies, and groups who would like to volunteer their time helping Food Finders to sort and pack food donation bags and boxes.
WHAT: Year-round and during the holidays, Food Finders needs help packing and sorting rescued food to fill our weekly Food 4 Kids bags (during the school year) and the Food Donation Boxes for local non-profit agencies to distribute.
DAYS: Monday thru Friday.
TIMES AVAILABLE: 9 am to Noon OR 1 pm to 4 pm.
WHERE: Food Finders Warehouse, 10539 Humbolt Street, Los Alamitos, CA 90720
What To Expect: You or your group will be working in our warehouse packing boxes or bags with specific food items. We have bins that contain dried beans, canned proteins, breakfast foods, etc., and you will put items into Food 4 Kids Bags or Food Donation Boxes. Our warehouse manager will ensure you are comfortable and can even put on a music playlist. We have a kitchen with water and snacks, and you can access the bathrooms.
How To Dress: Be comfortable. The warehouse doors are open during the day so dress according to the weather. Tennis shoes and comfortable clothing are best. Groups can come with company/organization t-shirts– we can take a group picture for our social media accounts and newsletters–and tag you with your volunteering impact in the community.
Community Service Hours: If you need hours, we are happy to help you with forms or letters as needed. The time you started to the time you finished and the total hours completed.
