Company-Supported Volunteering

Did you know your volunteer time could unlock even more support for Food Finders?

Thousands of companies offer Volunteer Time Off (VTO) and volunteer grant programs where they donate to our organization after you volunteer your time. It’s a powerful way to multiply your impact while spending the day volunteering with Food Finders!

Here’s how to check:
1.      Enter your company’s name below.
2.      See what they offer—VTO, matching gifts, or volunteer grants.
3.      Follow your company’s instructions to submit your hours or request a match.

Thanks to your volunteer hours, fewer neighbors will go hungry. Your company’s support could make it go even further.

FAQ

Yes! It’s not too late to apply for a matching gift. Many companies allow employees to submit match requests for one year following the date of the donation.

It’s still possible that your employer will match your donation, even if you don’t find your company on our list. Check with your company’s HR manager and ask if your donation can be matched.

We partner with a company called Double the Donation. If you see anything that should be changed with your company’s profile, please email Double the Donation’s team at data@doublethedonation.com

Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. It’s an easy way to double your contribution to Food Finders.

Requesting a matching gift or volunteer grant is normally a five-minute process that must be initiated by the donor/volunteer. Search our database to see if your company participates in gift matching and then follow the instructions to either submit through an electronic submission process or by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer.

Food Finders is a nonprofit 501c3 food rescue organization with a mission to rescue food, reduce hunger, and improve nutrition in the communities we serve.

This project is funded in part by L.A. Care Health Plan and will benefit low-income and uninsured residents of Los Angeles County.
