About Food Finders

Food Finders is a food rescue organization, and for 37 years we have been committed to making a positive impact on our community and the environment. As a leader in the food recovery industry, Food Finders has been building relationships with businesses that have surplus food and connecting this food to our network of nonprofit partners. Food is a basic human right and our program provides individuals access to equitable food. 38% of the U.S. food supply remains uneaten or unserved. By diverting edible food, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve water and protect cropland. In 2025 we rescued 15.6 million pounds of food that provided an estimated 13 million meals across LA, OC, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

We recognize our social and environmental Responsibility through reducing waste, feeding people, and rescuing food. We aim to influence policies addressing food access and waste, ensuring we’re more than just a food recovery organization.

We prioritize Adapting to the world around us. Internally, we’ve grown in size, benefits, and communication. Externally, we’ve invested in app software to expand our digital reach. We’re always learning, listening, and open to change to best serve our community.
